President Joe Biden’s Wisconsin vote share is running 12-points behind incumbent Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), according to a shocking new survey which shows the president trailing former President Donald Trump by 6 points.

The statewide election survey conducted by AARP examined preference for presidential candidates, as well as candidates for Senate and state races in Wisconsin. The poll was taken between June 28 and July 2, after the CNN presidential debate performance that plunged Biden into a political crisis.

The findings show support for the state’s Democratic senator, Baldwin — who is up by 5 points in her race. And the same poll shows Biden trailing by 6.

Trump has made particular inroads with older voters — where he holds a 48 percent to 41 percent advantage over Biden among those 50 and up.

By gender demographic breakdown, Biden leads by 8 points among women overall and by 6 points among women aged 50 and older. Conversely, Trump is favored by men across all age groups by a substantial 22-point margin.

In the Senate race, Baldwin maintains a lead over Republican challenger Eric Hovde, standing at 50 percent to Hovde’s 45 percent among voters overall.
