’22 Hard Minutes!’ Fox & Friends Mock Brevity Of Biden’s ABC Interview

Fox & Friends mocked President Joe Biden’s much-hyped interview with ABC anchor George Stephanopoulous on Monday’s show for lasting a mere “22 hard minutes.”

The interview was his first on television since the CNN debate performance that sparked concern for his mental acuity.

Fox & Friends hosts were looking ahead to Biden’s schedule for the week. He is due to attend a NATO summit with other world leaders in Washington, D.C., before delivering a solo press conference on Thursday. Much like the ABC interview, the press conference is being viewed as a key opportunity for Biden to reassure his voter base of his capability.

As correspondent Gillian Turner called in from the White House with the updates, Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy repeatedly took the opportunity to joke about the president’s stamina and his team’s attempts to shield him from questioning.

Asking how long the press conference might be, Doocy said: “We had heard that he was going to do an interview. He did it on Friday with George Stephanopoulos. It was 22 minutes.”

Referencing Biden’s interview with WURD radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders, who resigned at the weekend after it emerged that Biden’s aides had helped her draft questions for the president, he asked Turner: “Do we know how long this press conference is going to be and whether Fox will get any opportunities to ask any questions? Apparently the White House loves to give out questions and ask it in public because Joe has the answer right there.”

Turner replied that she did not have answers from the White House on that point but Doocy kept teasing: “Will it be before 4 o’clock in the afternoon? Because we hear he is good between 10 and 4.”

As Turner repeated she did not know the details for Thursday, Doocy accused Biden’s team of “making it up as they go.”
