The start of summer is upon us. For some, this will mean time off to rest and recuperate. For others, it might mean traveling to see family or to check some adventures off the bucket list. Of course, summer also means rising temperatures, kids out of school, and parents trying to figure out how to keep their young ones busy (while not losing their minds!).

And for those in politics, this summer will also mean fall political campaigns gaining real speed and intensity.

Memorial Day, of course, is the unofficial start of summer and a time when many start to get away and celebrate. But it’s also a holiday that we’re supposed to take a moment to honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Service to our country is at an all-time low, and that truth (outlined below), should give us all pause. It has made me wonder whether people no longer feel their country is worth serving and fighting for? I’m interested to hear your thoughts on this.
