  • For a romantic dinner for two, an evening with friends or a solo meal that everyone will be jealous, here is a simple recipe of tuna tartare created by The Girl from the 3rd Floor!

    Ingredients

    Tartare

    • 300 g fresh tuna, skinless, cut into small cubes
    • ½ green onion, minced
    • 2 tbsp. coriander, minced
    • ½ apple cut into small cubes (your choice of type of apple)
    • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
    • ½ tsp. Sriracha or Tabasco sauce
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Sprouts (alfalfa, radish, carrot or other), quantity your choice

    Toasted bread

    • ½ baguette, sliced thinly
    • Olive oil to brush over bread slices

    Preparation

    Tartare and toasted bread

    1. Combine all the tartare ingredients (except for the sprouts) in a bowl, and mix well together. Set aside.
    2. Turn the oven on to broil. Brush the slices of bread with olive oil, then toast them in the oven for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Set aside.
    3. Use a round pastry cutter to shape the tartare. Sprinkle the sprouts over each portion.
    4. Enjoy your tartare!
