Jean Talon and Atwater markets are officially ready for winter. Wall installation and other winterizing measures are complete, and the markets are now ready to welcome you as always! Each October, the winter walls are installed over a five-day period. It’s also the time to refresh the market stalls after another bountiful summer! Each stall gets a winter makeover with a thorough cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. The transformation involves a lot of work for our merchants, who must disassemble and reassemble their entire space. Some move inside, while others close until the spring. The winter walls make it possible for you to enjoy your favourite market to the fullest all year, sheltered from the elements.
