As her son enjoys a well-deserved break ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs' 2024 season, Randi Mahomes, mother of NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes ,has made a significant announcement.
On July 5, Randi revealed her decision to retire after nearly two decades of service at Hollytree Country Club.
"After an incredible 19 and a half years at Hollytree Country Club, I am excited to announce my retirement!" Randi Mahomes shared on social media.
"It's been an amazing journey filled with countless memories and wonderful people. I am so blessed to have had an incredible work family. Thank y'all for your support!"
Her heartfelt message was accompanied by four photos of herself with friends and colleagues, and it quickly garnered supportive comments.
"Congratulations! Happy for you and this next adventure in your life," one follower wrote.
Another added, "I'm sure it's well-deserved! Huge congrats. Now you can spend more time with the grandbabies and family!"
A third comment read, "Hope to see you in Kansas City more!!!! Congrats!"
Randi Mahomes' Future Plans After Retirement
Randi also took to Instagram to elaborate on her post-retirement plans, sharing her excitement about the future.
"As I step into this new chapter, I'm looking forward to spending quality time with my kids, grandkids, and family," she wrote.
"Next up for me: sharing more about my journey with faith, family, and mental health. I can't wait to embark on this adventure and bring you along for the ride. Thank you for all your support over the years!"
The Instagram post included a touching photo of a retirement banner from her colleagues that humorously stated, "Rude that you're leaving... but ok," followed by a warm message, "We will miss you so much! Thank you for all the years, memories, laughs, and even tears! Come back to visit soon! WE LOVE YOU! FAMILY FOREVER!"
Patrick & Brittany Mahomes' European Adventure
While Randi transitions into her retirement, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are making the most of their off-season by touring Europe. Brittany's Instagram has been filled with snapshots of the family's travels across various European destinations.
The Mahomes' European tour started on the scenic beaches and golf courses of Portugal, with photos shared on June 22.
This leg of the trip included their children, Sterling Skye and Patrick "Bronze" Mahomes. Following Portugal, the family visited Spain, where they enjoyed a trip to the zoo, as shown in photos posted on June 27.
More photos from Marbella, Spain, appeared on June 30, and their next destination was Switzerland, just in time for the Fourth of July celebrations. The most recent update came from a Morgan Wallen concert in London, England.
