Manchester's Victoria Warehouse has cancelled tomorrow's Tekashi 6ix9ine show after the rapper was refused entry to the UK today.

The New York-based performer, real name Daniel Hernandez, was turned away at the border on arrival into the country this morning according to a statement on the venue's website.

The Home Office said it could not comment on individual cases but reserved the right to refuse entry to anyone convicted of criminal offences.

The Gummo rapper pleaded guilty to using a child in a sexual performance in 2015. Sentencing was adjourned for several years as part of his plea agreement and court documents show his next court appearance is due in July.

The case relates to sexually explicit videos of a 13-year-old girl filmed at a house party in Harlem in 2015, which Hernandez admitted to posting online.

Hernandez, now aged 22, has denied any sexual contact with the girl, whom he claims he believed was 19.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was due to perform in London tonight before his scheduled show in Manchester tomorrow.

Victoria Warehouse

Victoria Warehouse announced the cancellation this afternoon.

"It is with regret that we announce the postponement of the Tekashi 6ix9ine concert on Friday 22nd June 2018," management said in a statement.

"It has been confirmed that Tekashi 6ix9ine has been refused entry to the United Kingdom by UK Border Control, on arrival into the country this morning.

"We apologise for the obvious disappointment this will cause to everyone who has purchased tickets and made arrangements to attend the concert."

The concert will either be rescheduled at a different venue or ticket holders will be entitled to claim a refund from their point of purchase, the statement advises.

More information will be announced by the promoter within the next two weeks, it adds.

A Home Office spokesman said: "We do not routinely comment on individual cases, but reserve the right to refuse entry to the UK to anyone who is convicted of criminal offences."

The M.E.N has approached Tekashi 6ix9ine's label for a comment.
