Fans are one step closer to seeing The 1975 live in Manchester, as tickets for their 2023 'At Their Very Best' tour go on presale today (September 7). The 'Happiness' artists will perform at Manchester's Apollo arena on Friday, January 20.

Fans who preordered their new album before 6pm on September 6 will have the chance to get tickets in the presale today from 9am. There's also a Spotify and Live Nation presale taking place on Thursday, September 8. Tickets will go on general sale this Friday, September 9 at 9am on Ticketmaster, SeeTickets and The Ticket Factory.

Playing for one night only in Manchester, the gig is expected to sell quickly as fans are eager to catch a glimpse of the band's new single 'I'm In Love With You'. The 1975 released 'I'm In Love With You' just last week which forms part of their new album 'Being Funny in A Foreign Language.'

The new album, which is due for release in October, 2022, celebrates exploring true forms of love. The 1975 have been well known for their distinctive approach to rock, which is why their tours are popular.

After huge success this summer at one of Japan's biggest rock festival Summer Sonic, the band will kickstart their UK leg of the 2023 tour in Brighton on January 8. Other shows include Manchester and Cardiff before closing on January 29 in Dublin.

Tickets selling out quickly

We are already seeing limited availability on a few of the dates. In particular Cardiff looks like it may already be sold out.

Ticketmaster is still showing tickets available in Manchester and Newcastle.

Pre sale tips

Not long to go

A few people are reporting they have not actually received their code from the 1975 after preordering the album.

If that is the case then you will have to contact the producers at Dirty Hit.

Meanwhile pre sale begins in a few minutes at Ticketmaster here.

An unusual number of tickets

Usually pre sale tickets are limited to four or even six per person. However the 1975 are bucking this trend by offering up to nine tickets per person today.

That means you can buy a few more tickets for your friends, but it could also lead to sell outs. We'll see.

O2 priority also on sale today

If you don't have the album presale code or Three mobile there is one more way to secure presale tickets today. O2 Priority has a presale for some venues including Cardiff today, but there does not look like one for Manchester.

You can see a full list of presales taking place in a little over half an hour on the Ticketmaster page here.

Tickets are not guaranteed

The 1975 have been careful to note that a presale code does not actually guarantee you a ticket. There will be an allocation for those who pre ordered the album but that does not mean every person will be able to get a ticket.

Album pre orders are not the only presale happening today. Anybody with Three mobile can also get a ticket via the Three presale here.

Good morning!

Are you ready for some 1975 ticket action this morning?

If you are trying to get tickets today then you will have had to pre order the new album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language, by 3pm yesterday. If you did you will be emailed a presale code that will allow you to order tickets.

If you did not pre order the album then do not worry. LiveNation and Spotify pre sales take place tomorrow before general sale on Friday.

Tickets will go on general sale this Friday, September 9 at 9am on Ticketmaster, SeeTickets and The Ticket Factory.
