The Slug & Lettuce in Albert Square is set to be reopened after a massive £650k makeover. The popular bar will be welcoming back punters on Friday (July 12).

The spot will be the company's fourth site to showcase its brand new look including other flagship chains in Deansgate, Birmingham and Solihull.

The revamped Albert Square venue is adorned with a 'vivacious' colour scheme, featuring the brand’s flamingo pink and jungle green, alongside a bespoke back bar mural with hues of pink, teal, blue and green, bronze mirrors, and colour-changing LED lighting to create a playful ambiance.

One of the standout features of the revamped venue is the newly installed photobooth. Guests can also expect a world of flamboyant vibrancy, featuring metallic faux leather, patterned fabrics, trailing foliage and ambient lighting.

To coincide with the makeover, the brand will introduce an extended bottomless brunch that lasts until 9pm. Additionally, guests can enjoy a brand-new summer menu, featuring options such as afternoon tea and a midweek dinner and date menu.

Simon Pugsley, the newly appointed general manager of Slug & Lettuce Albert Square, previously led Slug & Lettuce Deansgate, the first venue to undergo substantial investment.

Simon said: “The investment into Deansgate completely transformed the venue and the Albert Square venue is set to be just as incredible. The Albert Square team and I are looking forward to welcoming our guests back to the new-look venue and we can’t wait to start a new chapter for the site.

"It’s definitely going to be the new ‘must-visit’ place in Manchester!”

The investment into Slug & Lettuce Albert Square makes it the brand’s fourth site to undergo a substantial transformation, bringing the total investment to more than £2,600,000 and roll out planned across multiples sites in the UK.
