A popular games bar in Manchester's Northern Quarter has responded to a one-star review that slammed their staff. NQ64, which has two sites in the city, hit back at the review that called one of its staff a 'progressive student gimp' for wearing a crop top.

The bar shared the scathing review, left by a reviewer called Corbin A, to its Instagram page alongside a picture of its bar team smiling and wearing crop tops. The caption on the post, which has been liked by more than 2,000 accounts, read: "This one's for you, Corbs, stay progressive x", followed by a peace sign emoji.

The review left by Corbin A, who has written three reviews on their chosen platform, read: "Half your time in there is spent stood waiting to go on games, the other half is watching some progressive student gimp in a crop top take 10 minutes to pour you one drink while he tries to act like a bartender making random things throwing movements with glasses and bottles."

The comments on the post, which topped nearly 100, were largely in support of the bar and mocking the review, with one person writing: "Please start selling crop tops that say 'Progressive Student Gimp'."

Another person joked "I only came for the progressive student crops, and other added, "This is EVERYTHING!!" followed by a series of heart emojis. Others joined in to say how much they love the bar's response with one person writing: "so much time for this".

Fans of the bar added: "I've only been a few times but it's always been awesome experience, great place to get talking to new people to when your trying to beat each others high scores. The bar responded to this particular comment writing: "thank you, James! We love our first little bar and we’re proud of the team here every day. Glad you enjoy!"
