Manchester United have been tipped to miss out on the signing of priority transfer target Jarrad Branthwaite this summer by artificial intelligence.

The Everton centre-back has been the subject of strong interest by United after his dazzling displays for Sean Dyche's side last season. A fee in the region of £45m was turned down by the Toffees last month but their interest remains.

Since then, Erik ten Hag's side have worked on progressing deals for alternatives. Bayern Munich star Matthijs de Ligt is close to sealing a move to Old Trafford and reports over the weekend have suggested the club are actively pursuing Lille teenager Leny Yoro.

It's understood that Branthwaite is still on United's transfer radar but according to AI technology used by FairBettingSites, the Everton defender will seal a big money move away from Goodison Park to another club.

The technology has predicted that Real Madrid will sign the 22-year-old for €56.5m (£47.7m) this summer. A move just below £50m remains below Everton's reported £70m valuation of the England defender.

Meanwhile, the technology has backed Harry Maguire to leave the club after five years and join West Ham for £25m. The centre-back is reportedly set to depart this summer with United keen to avoid losing him for nothing next summer after paying £80m for his services in 2019.

The Hammers were supposedly interested in signing him last summer under David Moyes but he remained at Old Trafford. Should both deals be completed, Man United would be lighter in a position they currently require reinforcements.
