Regular viewers of breakfast and daytime telly are facing a very different schedule this morning.

The usual feast of ITV programmes are make way for the Rugby World Cup.

This means that Lorraine and This Morning are cancelled for today.

Judge Rinder, which takes up Jeremy Kyle’s former 9.30am slot, is also axed from the schedule.

Good Morning Britain escaped the cull and managed to do a whole show interrupted, with the rugby starting at 8.30am - when Lorraine would usually start.

In today’s bronze final, Wales will be hoping to beat New Zealand in a clash for third and fourth place in the competition, which is being held in Japan.

England will meet South Africa for our first world cup final in 12 years on Saturday.

But enough about sport - when does TV return to normal?

Well, if you are one of those who are gutted to miss out on your usual morning programme hit, do not worry, TV schedules will return to normal at midday.

Well, this is if the match doesn’t go into extra time… but let’s not tempt fate.

Countryfile takes the half an hour slot between the end of the rugby and the start of Loose Women at 12.30pm, when normality will resume.

And if you were gutted to miss your daily dose of Lorraine Kelly, fear not - she is one of today’s guests on the panel.
