Fans have been left delighted and emotional in equal measure as Girls Aloud reunited for the first time in months. Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle were brought back together at a star-studded wedding over the weekend - two years after Sarah Harding's tragic death.

The foursome beamed for the camera as they got together for a group snap as they attended the wedding of their publicist, Simon Jones. The photo was posted to the Instagram account of Arthur Gourounlian, who is the husband of former Big Brother star Brian Dowling.

Nadine could be seen in the image having opted for a white button-down dress with a tan belt that cinched her in at the waist, while she wore her blonde locks down in curls. Stood alongside Cheryl, the former X Factor judge stunned in a metallic sage green caped dress which she teamed with a sparkling clutch while sporting her brunette tresses in a classic updo.

Nicola, meanwhile, coordinated with Cheryl by sporting a simple silk number in the same shade while Kimberley looked gorgeous as she rocked a white flower-printed dress with long cuffed sleeves. And both sported their differing length locks down and straight.

But while all of them smiled at the camera as Arthur stood in between them, looking eye-catching in a black sparkling suit, fans couldn't help but point out the sadness that their late bandmate Sarah, who passed away in 2021 aged just 39 after battling breast cancer, was missing.

@sassbabba said: "Its so sad Sarah is not there. Lovely picture Arthur." @aisling_nooney commented: "Gorgeous and Sarah shining down." @carolinebyrneggg wrote: "Missing Poor Sarah." @lindsay.jane222 added: "Absolutely beautiful. The girls haven't changed one bit n raise a glass for our beloved Sarah. Have a fantastic time."

The girls were out in force at a friend's wedding

The last time Nicola, Cheryl, Kimberley and Nadine were seen together was when they appeared on TV over Christmas. Cheryl, Kimberley and Nadine were in the audience of Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas special as they cheered on Nicola who was taking part with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice.

And Strictly fans were over the moon as they cheered on the star, with many hoping the reunion could promise a Girls Aloud reunion in the coming year. Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “What a delight seeing Girls Aloud together,” as a second said: "ALL OF GIRLS ALOUD ARE THERE TO SUPPORT NICOLA." A third insisted: "Girls Aloud reunion now please."

Fans have been missing Sarah since her death in 2021

Nadine has previously suggested Girls Aloud could reunite as a four-piece, following the tragic death of bandmate Sarah. The group, who produced five studio albums during their time together, including hits Sound Of The Underground and The Promise, did release new music earlier this year to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Sound Of The Underground’.

It came after the band recently released a special vinyl edition of their 2002 debut single of the same name, with all profits from the pressing going straight into The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.
