Queues formed on a stretch of the M6 motorway this morning after a crash.

According to traffic alert service Inrix, two lanes were shut off on the northbound stretch of the motorway from junction 18 for Middlewich to junction 19 for Knutsford. Lanes one and two - of four - were closed.

All traffic was temporarily held earlier as highways officers responded to the crash. The crash reportedly involved a van and a lorry.

Motorway cameras showed queues building up to the closure with slow traffic in the area.
