Your iPhone Is Still Vulnerable to Security Flaw Until You Update iOS
iPhone users should still be mindful of the need to update to the latest version of iOS to fix a serious security vulnerability, Apple has warned.

Apple released iOS 15.7.4 and iOS 16.3.1 last month as small updates to fix a range of bugs and issues on the iPhone. The software updates included several minor bug fixes, but the most important part of the updates are a fix for an issue with WebKit, Apple's browser engine, that allows maliciously crafted web content to execute code. Now, the latest version of iOS is iOS 16.4, which carries over these bug fixes.
Apple says this issue was known to be "actively exploited" in the wild, so it is still important to update to the new software as soon as possible. The vulnerability was a type confusion issue that Apple says has been addressed with improved checks in iOS 16.3.1.
The iOS 16.3.1 update also fixed an issue with Siri and Find My, a problem with iCloud settings, and introduces additional Crash Detection optimizations for iPhone 14 models. There were accompanying iPadOS 16.3.1 and macOS 13.2.1 updates to address the same issues on many of Apple's other devices. iOS 16.4 also adds a range of new features like web push notifications, a new Home app architecture, new emojis, Podcasts app enhancements, and more.
