New Yellow iPhone 14 Coming as Soon as Today

Apple could launch the iPhone 14 and ‌iPhone 14‌ Plus in an all-new Yellow color option this week, according to recent reports.

The rumor was first shared on Weibo from an account with an unproven track record, but since then, multiple sources have informed MacRumors that Apple's PR team is planning a product briefing this week. Apple announced new Green colors for the iPhone 13 series on Tuesday, March 8 last year, so there is a chance the briefing is related to a new iPhone color being announced as soon as today, but its specific subject has yet to be confirmed. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has now said that the release of the new color option is "imminent."

Apple usually introduces new ‌iPhone‌ color options in the spring to boost sales midway through the device's product cycle. Last March, Apple introduced a new Green color for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, and a new Alpine Green color for the ‌iPhone 13‌ Pro models. In April 2021, Apple made the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini available in Purple.

Apple last offered a Yellow color option for the ‌iPhone‌ in 2019 with the ‌iPhone‌ 11, which came just one year after the Yellow ‌iPhone‌ XR. It is unclear if Apple is planning a new color option for the ‌iPhone 14‌ Pro models as well, but Yellow could be too similar to the existing Gold option for those devices.
