Isn't this the discontinued version? Should have taken off more than just 15$, which in 2013 money, is basically 1$ ?
How's it discontinued? Its literally the ONLY HomePod mini that Apple has made

At $50 I’d consider another device to monitor me. Maybe. I already have Alexa listening to me all over the place. Some of the Echo dots I think I paid $15 for during some sale. Then there’s the headache of setting it up to be redundant with Alexa, the complete brokenness of HomeKit making it useless for home automation, and the absolute uselessness of Siri for ANYTHING except to time frozen pizza. I don’t use Apple Music because it’s constantly pushing me to try to listen to HipHop… so that’s out. does it work as a Bluetooth speaker? I already have an amazing Bose Bluetooth speaker, and many of my Echos are Bluetooth speakers… I have an echo dot plugged into a semi-high end amp/speaker system that sounds heavenly, so sound quality of the thing is moot, and from what I recall homepod doesnt even have audio out?

Well now that I've pecked this out I see that even for $50 I don't want it.

Maybe if it was free I could find someone else to give it to? Too much trouble. Give it to me for free, and I have to deal with throwing it in the trash, then throwing away the trash. Do not want, even free.
You just went through the trouble of typing all of that to just say you think the HomePod Mini sucks?

Okay….

That was a cool story that nobody wanted to read. I will say, I have absolutely no issues with Siri and HomeKit with mine.

Also, my Apple Music doesn't push me to HipHop, so that's a you thing that I don't buy one bit.

Siri does almost everything I ask. These blanket “Siri” is useless and “HomeKit” is useless statements don’t match with the videos you can find online of lots of people using Siri just as well as other digital assistants and HomeKit working for tons of people. If you have a specific thing it fails at (and there are some) that’s probably worth sharing.

And … why exactly would they discontinue this product?

Proper trolling should at least make a shred of sense. Otherwise you’re just excreting random words and ideas.
