Apple Seeds Second Beta of tvOS 16.3 to Developers

Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming tvOS 16.3 update to developers for testing purposes, with the beta coming nearly a month after the release of the first tvOS 16.3 beta.

Developers can download the tvOS 16.3 beta by downloading a profile onto the Apple TV using Xcode.

tvOS updates usually minor in scale, focusing on internal bug fixes and improvements rather than notable outward-facing changes. There is no word as of yet what's included in the tvOS 16.3 update, and no features were found in the first beta.

Apple shares some information on tvOS releases in its tvOS support document, which is updated after each tvOS launch, but it does not provide details on betas.

Though we don't often know what's new in tvOS during the beta testing process, we let MacRumors readers know when new updates are available so those who are developers can download it upon release.

My bad. Remote on the 2022 models are losing connection almost constantly. Only fix is to unpair and repair. Every single time.
FWIW I have this issue as well and I'm able to fix it by swiping down on the control center, choosing the apple tv, and using the remote control on the phone to start the apple tv, navigate to settings -> system -> restart. Still awful but sounds slightly less awful than re-pairing.

Apple has implemented H265 for the release of Apple TV 4K.
Today, the main task of H266 will be to improve the video quality with the same video bitrate that is now in iTunes. Plus, the TVs will come out with support. Therefore, this time they don't have to wait that long :) But, of course, everything can be :)

I really like that after five minutes I'm the first one to post about this exciting development. Can we get Homekit working again?
I hope Apple fixes the new architecture soon. Also it would be great to have the Home app on the Apple TV.
