We know the NIC was probably $0.15

Just a shameless cash grab... Apple knows anyone with a proper home theater wants this thing on ethernet, so they gate it behind the 128GB upgrade, which almost nobody even needs.

This is a big "**** you" from Apple, absolutely no reason to cut out the ~$1 ethernet port except to make you buy a device with more storage. What in the world do you even need 128GB on this thing for? Most people use it for their streaming services.

There should only be one model of Apple TV. Apple’s insistence on segmenting features by storage size, or physical size of iPhones, leads to massive customer confusion and greater development/manufacturing costs. This is even more problematic given that Apple TV has very few compelling reasons (apps) to upgrade to 128 GB storage.

Even with the *same* features it's $30 cheaper than the previous Apple TV 4K and you get double the storage...
