Apple appears to have released updated firmware for the MagSafe Battery Pack that is compatible with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models that support MagSafe accessories.

The updated firmware should be going out over the air starting today, and ‌MagSafe Battery Pack‌ owners should see a 2.7.b.0 version number in the Settings app after the firmware is installed.

Firmware updates are done quietly over the air and Apple does not provide release notes, so we do not know what features or bug fixes might be included in the software. There is no clear method for updating the firmware of the ‌MagSafe Battery Pack‌ firmware, but it should be connected to an ‌iPhone‌ for the update to initiate.

Apple last updated the ‌MagSafe Battery Pack‌ firmware in December, and the prior firmware is 2.5.b.0.

I like the Battery Pack. It fits perfectly on my iPhone 13 mini and is easy to hold when connected to the phone. Good to see another update.

I have the Anker 622 battery pack (5,000mAh) which also acts as a stand for the phone just like your first pic. I just got it for ~$40, it also has a USB-C port if you prefer wired charging.

its looks like a good idea and I was going to go for it but I knew apple has an intelligent way of controlling the charging for its devices and the apple battery curves better with no sharp edges. all these other batteries probably keep pushing power into the phone until they die. Apple battery will control its heat and stop charging at 90% which probably preserves the internal battery. its not really about cost since this goes with you for a few years. So far ive been happy wiht the apple version. It gives my mini another full charge just about.

FYI, the competing $43 Anker 521 Magnetic Battery rocks, and they make one with a standing case too for $70 called the Anker 622 Magnetic Battery (MagGo).

Just don't be fooled by the MagSafe-looking Qi charger on the Anker PowerCore III 10K Wireless Portable Charger. Your iPhone will not stick to it, and it's even hard to get the Qi to work even when it isn't.
