Satechi Launches New USB-C Clamp Hub for M1 iMac

Satechi today announced the launch of a new USB-C Clamp Hub, an add-on accessory designed to be used with the new 24-inch M1 iMac models.

The USB-C Clamp Hub has 3 USB-A ports that support 5Gb/s transfer speeds, a micro/SD card reader, and a USB-C port, and it attaches to the ‌iMac‌ using a single USB-C port at the back of the machine.

A knob at the back of the hub secures it to the ‌iMac‌, and while it is made from an aluminum material that is designed to match with Apple's devices, it is only available in a silver color.

Satechi's USB-C Clamp Hub is available from the Satechi website for $54.99. Customers can get a 15 percent pre-order discount using the promo code IMAC15 at checkout.

It never ceases to amaze me the raging fixation Satechi has with USB A as 2021 starts to wind down, at any rate they'll keep releasing 4:1 ratio of usb a to usb c products well into the Paris Olympics...

Especially with S A T E C H I printed right across it - I like that my Satechi Mac Mini hub is unbranded so it blends in with my Mini so nicely.

Wow, this is actually a very neat idea.

I never understand why Apple only put ports at the back on their deaktop Macs, making it hard for people to actually plug stuff in. Most Windows PCs have some set of ports at the back, but also ports at the front/top, because of obvious reasons. But I guess Apple prioritize form over function.
Legacy of the ridiculous Jonny Ive and his impractical design choices prioritizing looks over functionality. So glad that guy is gone.
