Apple's Developer Forums Now Feature Enhanced Search and Thread Notifications

Apple today announced a few new features for its Developer Forums, including enhanced search and the ability to receive email notifications for thread replies.

The Apple Developer Forums are a great place to connect with fellow developers and Apple engineers as you give and receive help on development topics. And now, it's easier to find and keep track of content you're interested in. Take advantage of enhanced search and a new feature that monitors threads for you and sends you an email each time there's a reply.

A list of supported search queries and more details can be found on Apple's website.

Apple's Developer Forums are a place for those who develop apps for Apple software platforms to ask questions and share comments on a variety of development topics with fellow developers and Apple engineers working for the company.

Apple developer forums are a complete waste of time. Hardly any activity, never get an answer from them.

Well they will be able to share the ideas together and collaborate.
This has existed for decades, they're simply improving the search. Their forums leave much to be desired, and I find more activity on other sites and boards

if only they featured actual responses and help. i have questions from 5 years ago with 0 replies.

also, their last update removed the ability to reply to replies, making replies very confusing. but since there are no replies in the first place i guess it is not a priority.

I think you misunderstood the article. It is talking about a dedicated (Developer) forum that will now have better search functions and the ability to be notified when someone responds to your (developer) post. This really has nothing to do with Joe and Jill Sixpack.

The Developer forum is not a place to hang out (like here) and share life stories with developers.
