Pass.

Quick overview: They sound amazing [And are significantly louder v.s the regular AirPods], the customizable gel ear tips work very well, the active noise cancellation is absolutely incredible, (Apple nailed it here). However, they are totally different from the regular AirPods In terms of fitment. The interior design I found to be uncomfortable after 30 minutes of wearing, where unfortunately I had to return them. With the interior design, it forces pressure on the surrounding cartilage around the ear, which is what seems a lot of users Had similar experiences with

What Was interesting, I thought I was a minority, apparently it’s a much more commonality to cross for those who experience the same thing I did.

The difference being, the AirPods ‘rest’ in your ear, where the Pros actually Incorporate pressure.

Side note:

I also purchased the Galaxy buds Plus (~$100 cheaper, similar to the AirPods, adjustable wing tips/additional gel tips) excellent little item, but I found the exact same result causing discomfort. Returned

It’s fascinating how people differ so much. I just got done wearing mine for about an hour or more doing yard work. They didn’t cause me any discomfort. I’m sad to hear you experienced that.

Interesting observations, thanks. I was about to pull the trigger on these. I still love my AirPods 1st gen but battery doesn’t last long. What’s the difference between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 AirPods? Wireless case?
Essentially with the first GEN AirPods and second GEN, they’re largely the same With the exception of the H1 Chip,Which transcends into faster Connection time for phone calls, but also has a lower latency, which helps in terms of a crisper-quality sound over the first Gen AirPods.

The wireless case is optional for an additional purchase, but personally, I don’t see the value in that, as I’m perfectly fine using a lightning cable.
