Apple basically keeps selling the same phone three years in a row and so many fall for it. Yes, what you see on stage is amazing, but most of us won’t be doing that. Sure, we are gonna take our selfies and group photos, but any phone can do this, even the Android phone the guy used at the Apple New York store re-opening seemed sufficient enough. What extreme measure are really trying to capture? We are sharing it on IG and Facebook where it still gets downgraded. What’s the point of having a library of 200,000 photos when you won’t have the time to even look through 25?

Yes, a decent smartphone is good and capturing some memories are good too. But sometimes, we need to save the money and live in the moment. Apple shareholders have enough. I say this out of pure concern because of the extreme level of consumerism I sometimes see and the revolving debt some of us put ourselves in just to keep up with the Joneses.

Sure, I’m gonna upgrade, maybe about 2022 or 2023, but thats a savings of nearly $7,000 in yearly upgrades. It can be done, because see people everyday on the streets, buses, at karaoke with that old iPhone 6 or sometimes an iPhone 5 series devices. Their world did not come crashing down.

My best friend is a commercial shooter for McD, Coke etc. and for fun he sometimes shoots with a Helga film camera. He can make most shots look great not matter the camera.

YMMV

Anyone else notice how horrible the wide-angle camera is on the iPhone 11 Pro Max? Mine looks like it's taking a picture from a 2010 Android phone.
It's really disappointing. The lack of detail and the unavailability of night mode...

I'm still not sure about this "Pro" name. The camera is almost the same as the iPhone 11 camera...

There should have been something more: completely redefined Camera app (with all the settings in app), possibility to disable OIS (for Osmo Mobile and other gimbals) and other "automatic" features, shooting RAW video?! (I know the files are huge, but you know... PRO), 1st party lens accessories...

I don't think it deserves the Pro name.

giving joe blow a $100,000 cinema camera is not going to magically make him a cinematographer, just like giving a regular guy a sports car is not going to make him a great driver all of a sudden. the skills lie in the person, the equipment is not going to magically add skills.
