I’ll upgrade from my Series 2 when the 4 gets discounted by $125-150, hopefully that will happen during the holidays. I rather get this discount on a 4 than pay full price for the 5, which I’m sure will only have new features I don’t need.

I only need my watch to be faster, recent WatchOS updates have made my 2 feel very sluggish.
Going from the 2 to the 4, I can tell you the difference is significant and worthwhile.

and there will be people happy for that. You? Of course not!
I don't see an observation as necessarily being a complaint.

Series 1 doesn’t support cellular. I know you said it works for what you need and I respect that. The cellular aspect makes things very convenient. When you do upgrade, you should consider it. Last time I used it extensively was at a water park. Could communicate with the wife, without having to carry my phone.
The minute I can sync with an ipad or mac and ditch the iphone I’ll upgrade. I hate carrying the phone around.
