Apple Shares Full Video of October iPad Pro and Mac Event on YouTube

If you missed Apple's "There's more in the making" October 30 event that focused on new iPad Pro models and Macs or if you just want to rewatch, the event video in its entirety is now available from Apple's YouTube channel, in addition to the Apple Event website.

At the event, which was held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City, Apple unveiled its fall iPad and Mac lineup. The company debuted overhauled iPad Pro models with an edge-to-edge display, no Home button, slim bezels, and a TrueDepth camera system for Face ID.

The new iPads, priced starting at $799 for the 11-inch model and $999 for the 12.9-inch model, feature USB-C instead of Lightning, have no headphone jack, and have a super fast A12X Bionic chip.

Apple also introduced a revamped $1,199 MacBook Air with a Retina display that features slimmer bezels, a smaller body, upgraded Amber Lake chips, a T2 chip, Touch ID, a third-generation Butterfly keyboard, a Force Touch trackpad, and Thunderbolt 3 ports.

The third major product that saw a debut at the October event was an upgraded Mac mini, now available in Space Gray with 8th-generation quad and 6-core Intel chips, up to 64GB RAM, up to 2TB storage space, Thunderbolt 3 support, and a T2 chip for enhanced security. Apple's new Mac mini is priced at $799.

We had extensive coverage of all of Apple's product unveilings yesterday, which is worth checking out in case you missed any of the tidbits that were announced. We've added links to our event-related articles below, so make sure to check those out.

Followed immediately by the now cliche and overly, unjustifiably emphasised "This is the best {insert apple product name} ever".

If the latest voluntary release of a product by any company isn't their best ever, they are doing something very wrong. Double

Phil wasn't on the stage and Sir Ive wasn't narrating any product video yesterday. Crazy times.
There was a fight between Phil and Tim. Phil wanted 256GB SSD and 16GB Ram as Minimum for the Macbook Air and Mac Mini. Tim responded like "you can take these expensive components from my cold dead hands and give them away for free".

And Jony was insulted because he wanted a new cinema display he already designed. Tim was like "that would cannibalize our iMac pro sales, so no no!"

They both passed on taking part, instead, they went to a taco bell.

Steve would have never allowed this.

Relive the thrill of the prices!

One thing I noticed was how loud the audience cheered when he mentioned Apple Store employees, which led me to realize that the place was apparently filled with Apple Store employees and why no one had the balls to yell “You've gotta be kidding!” when those prices were announced.

To be honest apple is still not listening to users , we want a new Cinema display .... a lot of profs Use dual monitor set up! And having 2 differnt looking displays Well for 10 k machine is just a bad Joke . ( iMac pro + a LG display) i want symetry or same look and feel . They finaly embrache egpu but no Apple screen to pair it with. You buy a new Mac mini that is way overpriced and it just doesnt have a screen option from Apple...
tge real threat to iMac pro is the new iMac With a 8 core cpu . Why is there still no new iMac?
I think there is a lot of trouble in Apple land why design stuff and not sell it ? A Apple cinema display would sell i know it . John was right . Also phil is right those SSDs are non replaceble and fill up quick if you target pro’s with your Mac mini it should be big just like there asking price . I could buy a Intel hadies Cannon nuc thats a lot better then this little mini and upgradable and has a great videocard (vega m).
I feeling Tim is the accountant maxing every penny out a product , making me feel

Well Steve would have done things different , but he is not here . I do think your right a bout that tim . He is accountant , that doesnt see the big picture in things . You sell a computer with out a display , but you could sell that same costumor a display . Hell im real mad this Mac mini is crap! Look at it ... Hp even have a mini lineup thats mutch more fun and exiting they Made it upgradable and expendable via stacking upgrades . All sold seperately and they even sell you s display . But Tim went for el cheapo and so boring same outside , different boring paintjob
No innovation just a cpu upgrade and soldering the smallest SSD you can find ....

Its clear tim wants to sell expencive stuff . No iMac upgrade ... because a 8 core 16 thead i9 would eat the iMac pro sales .. Steve would indeed have Made a aneversery iMac . I have no idea why in Gods name there still is a MBA because all Apple notebooks are thin and light... to thin for my tast . Any way if you sell machines that you want to be creatieve with small SSD are a big problem. Also USB A is the most used connection world wide .... and will be for many years.
Apple it counting penny’s to much the competition is getting better and better every year . I think again Apple just doesnt want to sell computers and just streching there designs . Because they want to sell iPads and iPhones i would love to see stockholders split the company in to Apple computers and iPhone iPads because its bin a very long time i have seen a new Apple computer that i wanted to gave .
