Apple is rolling in enough dough that it apparently doesn't feel the need to offer any actual Black Friday sale prices on their products anymore.

Oh well, I don't buy anything from them that's not refurbished anyway - so I guess every day I buy from them is like Black Friday!
Not sure what you mean by "anymore." I don't recall Apple having any good BF deals in the past years.

In the UK it’s a £120 gift card.

Funny how retail prices are converted from USD to GBP by replacing the symbol, by discounts are not.

Also, the usual justification of a higher cost of doing business doesn’t seem to stand here either. Unlike, hardware products, I can’t see how it costs Apple any more to give a gift card away in the UK than the USA.

Unless she actually wanted a fitbit.
She said 'fitness tracker' and was only looking into Fitbits since they were cheaper. Since Apple Watch does all a Fitbit does and more, she won't be disappointed.

It's just an offer, chill.
You don't have to buy anything, it isn't mandatory.
Thx, I'm saving a fortune - with even 22 more countries where I won't buy a new iPhone.

Man that's tight! It doesn't surprise me in the least though. They didn't get to be the world's most profitable company by giving stuff away, that's for sure!
