iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Now Available for Pre-Order

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus through its online storefront and through the Apple Store app. Pre-orders are available in first wave launch countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, the UK, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and Singapore.

All of the major U.S. carriers, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, are accepting pre-orders for the new devices, but online pre-orders are not available from retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart.

We haven't heard rumors pointing towards supply constraints for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, but it's best to make an order right away if possible. In past years, iPhone supplies have dwindled significantly following the kickoff of pre-orders, and with last year's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, 6 Plus supplies sold out quickly.

Both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus come in 16, 64, and 128GB configurations, with four color options: Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold.

iPhone 6s pricing in the U.S. starts at $199 with a two-year carrier contract, with the 64 and 128GB models priced at $299 and $399, respectively. Without a contract, the iPhone 6s in 16/64/128GB is priced at $649/$749/$849.

iPhone 6s Plus pricing in the U.S. starts at $299 with a two-year carrier contract, with the 64 and 128GB models priced at $399 and $499, respectively. Without a contract, the iPhone 6s Plus in 16/64/128GB is priced at $749/$849/$949.

Customers who wish to make a purchase through Apple's new U.S. iPhone Upgrade Program will need to make an online reservation for an in-store appointment. Reservations are available now.

In-store sales of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will begin on Friday, September 25, which is the official launch day for the new devices.

Say what you want... All 3D touch gestures can be emulated on previous devices with a simple long hold.

A main new feature... Live photos? Are you kidding me? Just take a god damn video. Even Hey Siri without being plugged in can be easily activated with a simple jailbreak.

Features like the keyboard trackpad were present in the iOS 9 betas on previous iOS devices, yet have been removed to exclusively be on these new devices.

This may be the right buy for pre-iPhone 5s users ready to upgrade, but otherwise this year it all seems so half assed.

Not a compelling buy at all. Skip.

completely wrong. force != duration. with 3d touch there is a light tap, a normal, and deep. duration plays no part.

haptic feedback that those who've used say is much better and dovetails with 3d touch perfectly.

4k video.

12mp iSight camera.

5mp FaceTime camera.

A9 processor way faster.

...many changes. but, obviously, normal people don't upgrade every single year. phone geeks like me do, and this year is no disappointment.

3D Touch is not a long press. Sorry charlie. 3D Touch registers different levels of pressure on the z-axis. Of course, this is going to be the argument and the hack that Android will implement to try to stay relevant.

Take a look at current culture, Instagram, Vine, etc... this is what people do. And it's automatic. And you can turn it off if it really rubs your balls the wrong way. I think it adds a nice touch of humanity to things and works well in their ecosystem.

Even Hey Siri without being plugged in can be easily activated with a simple jailbreak.
Go ahead. Jailbreak your phone then and hack everything. Have fun with your malware and getting support. Plus, they've done more to Siri so that it learns your voice. That way you don't have morons like you running into a Starbucks yelling "Hey Siri! Hey Siri!" to try to get the attention you crave.

It's present on the iPad, not the phones. Because... ergonomics.

You're an idiot. A9 processor is twice as fast. 3D Touch which will be implemented by developers, an even better camera than what the iPhone 6 had (which is already amazing). You can sit at home and wait for your check from Samsung so you can throw a sad green robot pity party. Womp. womp.

Not a compelling buy at all. Skip.
Yep, it sure doesn't look compelling to everyone else on here who's ordered.
