Facebook today released an updated Facebook Messenger app that has been redesigned for iOS 7 with a simpler interface and a cleaner look for easier navigation.

The update also includes messaging via phone number, allowing users to send messages to people outside of Facebook, and there is a new icon that indicates which friends are logged into the app.

I have to say this iOS 7 has made other apps look really good. One was the tweetbot, then few other apps and now this! looks sleek and nice. :)

The facebook app was also updated and it now opens Messenger instead of showing you ugly chat heads.

I'm not sure that opting not to hand your phone number and all your contacts over to a marketing firm counts as paranoia.

FINALLY! Been waiting for FB Messenger iOS 7 update since iOS 7 came out. I'm liking it so far, and I really like how the main Facebook app takes you to the Messenger app now! :cool:
