Heat agree to two-year deal with forward Haywood Highsmith per reports

MIAMI – The Heat are keeping one of their own.

Miami has agreed to a 2-year, $11 million dollar deal with forward Haywood Highsmith.

The deal was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowwski.

Highsmith is a player that the Heat have developed over the past few years.

He has shown strong ability on defense and with outside shooting.

Miami lost Caleb Martin to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Highsmith averaged 6.1 points and 3.2 rebounds last season.

Highsmith shot 39.6% from the 3-point line last season.
