Boston Celtics arrive at MIA to celebrate 18th NBA championship

MIAMI – The Boston Celtics arrived at Miami International Airport on Tuesday evening to celebrate their NBA Finals-clinching win.

Sky 10 video flew over MIA where Celtics players were getting off a plane and boarding a bus.

Celtics forward Jayson Tatum was seen holding the trophy and smiling before getting on the bus.

Sky 10 also flew over the scene where the Celtics’ buses arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel in Brickell.

Boston defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 on Monday night and won the series 4-1. They currently hold the NBA record for most championships with 18.

Celtics guard Jaylen Brown was named Finals MVP after averaging 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5 assists per game. He had a 30-point performance in Game 3 and put up 21 points in Game 5′s series-clinching victory.

Local 10 News also spoke with Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports who shared his thoughts on the Celtics’ championship win and why he thinks he’ll lose his bet against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday.
