The lawsuit claims that The Hershey Company used deceptive practices after customers found out that the candies didn't feature the faces shown on the packaging. (U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida)

Chocolate giant Hershey is facing a lawsuit over the design of some of its Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup candies.

The suit was filed by four people in a South Florida federal court, and they are demanding at least five million dollars.

The four plaintiffs said they were “very disappointed” that the candies they bought looked plain and lacked the “explicit carved out artistic designs” as shown on the packaging.

The photos included in the complaint showed pumpkin-shaped candies missing the advertised eyes and crooked mouths.

The plaintiffs said they would not have bought the candies if they had known they did not have the design that was advertised.

Hershey and its lawyers have not commented on the suit.
