Las Olas favorite back open, shaking things up on and off the menu

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Don’t call it a comeback!

A Las Olas favorite is back open after shutting down during the pandemic, and they used that time off to shake things up on and off the menu.

The Italian restaurant Timpano is back open to fill us up with revamped dishes.

“It’s the new, modern Timpano,” Chef Omar told Local 10 News.

Timpano has everything from pastas to beefy appetizers.

Local 10 sat down with Chef Omar to talk about the exciting new dishes that they’re putting a “pastative” spin on.

“This is our Radiatore pasta with Miso mushroom. This is another great dish here,” Chef Omar showed Local 10. “You have this savory, sweet butter, the cheese, to finish it off, there’s the truffle.”

And even brunch is getting a modern twist.

“So this is our Lemon Ricotta Pancake, with a strawberry compote,” he showed Local 10. “And an orange mascarpone at the bottom, and we have a little sugar that we call our sugar dust.”

The menu isn’t the only thing that is new.

The entire place has been remodeled to look more elegant and chic.

There are multiple rooms that are dimly lit with unique décor throughout.

The vibes are fit for the Las Olas scene.

“We don’t have basic food here,” Chef Omar said. “We’ve elevated the food, elevated the décor, elevated the service. Our culture in here is, we want people to come back in.”
