New concept venue replacing Hannah's Bar in city centre
Hannah's Bar closed suddenly but a new venue will take over the site soon
A new concept venue is opening in the former Hannah's Bar site in Liverpool's city centre.
Metrocola will be a cocktail bar and tap room, offering a selection of draught, cask and craft ales, cocktails and wines.
It will also offer Detroit-style pizza, which differs from regular pizza in that it comes in a rectangular shape with a thick crust that's crispy and chewy. Traditionally, it's topped with tomato sauce and Wisconsin brick cheese which goes all the way to the edges.

Metrocola, which is the sister site of The Old School House on Lark Lane, will be opening in around two weeks' time in the former Hannah's Bar.
Hannah's Bar on Leece Street had a long history in Liverpool and was a popular spot for many years, but announced its sudden closure in an unexpected Facebook post at the end of the summer.
The venue is currently undergoing a revamp for Metrocola to make it its own.

The bar front has been kitted out with stylish yellow tiles, while the selection of beverages is on display in front of an exposed brick wall.
Hannah's Bar offered stunning views of the Liverpool skyline from its top floor terrace, with Metrocola expected to make use of the space with a rooftop bar.
Metrocola will be open seven nights a week and will showcase live sports, as well as playing host to a number of gigs and events.
