Yale Residents attended a cross-divisional collaborative lab with both the Trauma and Stryker Joint Replacement business units earlier this month. This lab covered the basics of femoral and tibial nailing as well as total knee and hip arthroplasty with Mako technology. Residents from 6 different teaching institutions had an opportunity to get hands-on experience with our plating and external fixation portfolio and enhance their knowledge. After she was struck by a car in February 2021, Jamie Blanek’s right leg was amputated at the scene and her left leg was fractured in multiple places. As I step into my role as President, Trauma & Extremities, I’m filled with enthusiasm for the journey ahead. To everyone at Stryker Upper Extremities, thank you for pushing the boundaries and continuing to make better outcomes easier. Last week, I had the opportunity to attend our sales leadership meetings for each of our T&E businesses. I must say, I'm truly energized by the momentum of these groups.
