Calling RUSH Volunteers and Runners for Memorial Day Weekend! The Soldier Field 10Mile and 10K Run features The Road Home Program: The National Center of Excellence for Veterans and Their Families at RUSH as the race charity. It honors families and service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. The race will take place over Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Kicking off with a pre-race playing of taps and a military salute. Both the 10 mile and new 10K courses run south on DuSable Lake Shore Drive before looping back, with spectacular skyline views, along Lake Michigan to the finish ON the field at Soldier Field. The Sankofa Wellness Village is the future of public health. We are looking back to move Garfield Park forward by investing in the socioeconomic, physical, and spiritual wellness of residents. This community-driven initiative will address the historic disinvestment that has led to a high life expectance gap and a lower quality of life. The walkable “village” along the Madison Pulaski commercial corridor will be open to residents of all ages to have access to health and recreational services, healthy foods and the arts. There will be additional support for financial, entrepreneurial and business development. The future of public health means taking care of the whole person and the community they live, play and work in. Attend Research Trainee Day 2024! RUSH University invites you to attend this year's Research Trainee Day on Thursday, March 21. This event presents an opportunity for colleagues and visitors to learn about the cutting-edge research occurring at RUSH.
