It was my privilege to launch the Airbus Defence and Space UK Space Accelerator, part of the Community for Space Prosperity (CUSP) yesterday at #FIA24 alongside Kata Escott CB and James Gayner MBE and I’m thrilled to introduce our first cohort. 14 weeks of expert support from Plexal innovation and Airbus Defence and Space teams advancing a stellar cohort:  • ANGOKA: Cyber security for smart systems • Applied Atomics: Rapid response network in space • Aquark Technologies: Quantum systems for cold matter • BioOrbit: Pharmaceuticals factory in space • Calnex Solutions: Telecom and cloud computing testing • D-RisQ Ltd: Aerospace control software development • LIA Aerospace: Green propulsion systems • Magdrive: High-power electric plasma thrusters • Physical Mind London: Astronaut exercise solutions • Yondar Space: STEM education in space technologies supported by advanced digital tools from Ansys, CADFEM (UK-IE) & MathWorks This Accelerator represents an exciting opportunity to bring together cutting-edge startups with Airbus's industry-leading expertise. We are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Cohort of our Stage 2 Accelerator Program. The Accelerator is a 35-week program that runs from September - May. Firms are selected through a competitive application process that is overseen by a diverse and independent review committee. This program is provided without cost to the selected startups and the BIC does not take any equity in the firms in exchange for the services provided.
