An education + networking group for health/care thought leaders in NM to strengthen community and share innovative ideas

About us

Inspired by the vibrant healthcare scenes in other cities, HealthInno NM is a quarterly education+networking group for healthcare innovators and thought leaders in NM, led by HealthTech Rx and supported by other passionate volunteers. Events are held the third Thursday of each new quarter. We come together quarterly in the spirit of strengthening community, learning and exchanging ideas, staying up-to-date on the healthcare happenings in New Mexico, and meeting others in the field. We are all about fostering community. Our events are interactive, energizing, and full of meaningful conversation—so we typically hold them in a more casual setting than the traditional healthcare events you’re used to!! Whether you're a seasoned healthcare professional, disruptive health techie, an innovative healthcare careerist, or simply interested in making a difference, this group will be your place to meet like-minded individuals, exchange experience and ideas, and help us foster a burgeoning community of innovation and exchanging ideas. This meetup group is designed to foster connections, community, and conversation (not sales pitching, please). Follow this page to get informed of new events as we post them! HealthInno NM is founded and led by HealthTech Rx, and supported by a group of passionate volunteers within the healthcare community. If you are interested in joining our Planning Committee or Sponsoring an upcoming events, send us a message! Events average 50-75 attendees from startup innovators to healthcare executives to government representatives, and everything in between.

Many of you have asked our affiliation with HealthTech Rx. We are one and the same!!! We started HealthInno NM as our educational + networking event arm in support of our goal to be a centralized Health Tech Innovation Hub for the New Mexico + Borderplex region, which means fostering a community of innovation and collaboration. Fun fact: We launched these events in the spirit of community building—a way to break siloes and convene healthcare stakeholders and innovators to drive communication, collaboration, and conversation. For us, these are 3 critical components for catalyzing new ideas. We noticed that Inno/vation made people feel it was more applicable to them if they weren't working in "health tech" specifically, and since Innovation is a key mission of ours in general, we named the event group HealthInno NM to be more inclusive. We also recruited some absolutely amazing Planning Committee members along the way who help make this happen on a Quarterly basis (and will always welcome more!). ------------------------------------------- In the coming months, you'll see our HealthTech Rx/HealthInno NM efforts and messaging slowly converging. But for now, come to our next Quarterly event!! Register here: https://buff.ly/3RuHoJ3 And SAVE THE DATE for the next one on Innovating Remote/Access to Care on Thursday October 17th!😁 ------------------------------------------- If you're interested in Sponsoring an upcoming event or joining our Planning Committee, please send a note to Stefany Goradia. You can also follow HealthTech Rx on Linkedin to learn more about healthcare innovation, exciting new programs and partnerships we're developing in New Mexico, and national trends in health tech for health equity.

Ask Me About Health Communications | Director, Health Equity | Championing Health Equity at the Intersection of Health Communications and Digital Innovation

Have you heard of the #Indigenous #DeterminantsofHealth? During the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services #healthequitycon24, I was thrilled to learn about this focused, culturally relevant model for properly addressing the barriers #NativeAmerican and #AlaskanNative communities face as they navigate our overly complicated #healthcare system. I also love the focus on a holistic approach to care and healing. Studying this, I found that it resonated with me quite personally. This specific aspect reminded me of my Hindu faith (see Health of Mother Earth; in Sanskrit, Matru Bhumi). Living in harmony with nature is the best way to thrive. Indigenous communities from all over the world have done this for millennia, and yet they are the first to suffer from the ever-increasing number of #climatedisasters we are seeing year after year. I'm grateful for the work that the National Indian Health Board is doing for the original owners of this United States. I hope that their budgets are increased because investment in these communities is a very VERY small way the US can make up for the #sins of the past.

We would be remiss not to extend our deepest gratitude and recognition to our amazing Planning Committee and Community Champions!! They volunteer their time, expertise, thoughts, network, and voice to help make our events basically the best. Besides sharing our collective mission of building a stronger community and advancing equity in healthcare, they also help with procuring venues, producing marketing, recruiting guests and sponsorship, and/or promoting/amplifying our events within their networks—it ain't easy, and we certainly couldn't do it alone!!! Come say "Hi" to them at the next event and contact Stefany Goradia if you're interested in joining us 😁 Stefany Goradia Angelica Maestas Vanessa T.
