Gradall excavators, marking 75 years of production, were the first to use hydraulic power for all machine functions, including its versatile telescoping, full-tilting boom movements. The Gradall brand is known worldwide for innovation and versatility, producing unique infrastructure construction and maintenance machines for governments and contractors. Gradall excavator models are designed for general construction as well as building and maintaining highways, railroads, metal mills, mines and for firefighting. Gradall also introduced the first excavator with a highway-capable wheeled undercarriage, avoiding the need for a lowboy trailer. Today, Gradall’s XL Series and Discovery Series excavators can be driven at 60 mph, and repositioned from the operator cab. For on- or off-road applications, Gradall produces excavators for many markets with rugged rubber tire and crawler undercarriages — also known for exceptional all-direction mobility and stability.
