As summer break winds down, it's time to start thinking about going back to school. For many families, especially those facing financial hardship, getting all the supplies needed for the new school year can be a real challenge. That's why WFAA has launched a back-to-school donation drive to provide supplies for students in need. Through August 18th, you can visit WFAA's Amazon Wish List and donate essential school items like backpacks, notebooks, pencils and more. The supplies will be delivered to WFAA and then distributed to students through our partnership with Education Opens Doors, Inc., a nonprofit focused on academic readiness for middle schoolers in North Texas. No donation is too small - even a pack of pens or pencils can make a difference for a student starting the year off on the right foot. As we get ready for a new school year full of potential, let's help ensure all students in our community are equipped with the tools they need to succeed.
