Shaping the Science ⚛️ As the usage of convex ostomy products increase, we are excited to present the effect of baseplate convexity on a stoma site: both depth and diameter affect location/magnitude of skin tension and fat compression. Our recent Finite Element Analysis study showed the importance of having an appropriate range of convexity products available and selecting an appropriate option for use based on the stoma type and condition of the peristomal skin.
