Congratulations to MechE Professor Andrew Sabelhaus!! 🙌 🎉
Congratulations to Boston University CISE Affiliates Wenchao Li, Andrew Sabelhaus, and Rabia Tugce Yazicigil on receiving the prestigious 2024 NSF CAREER Award. Wenchao Li’s (ECE, SE, CS) research focused on specification-guided imitation learning (IL). Li uses a combination of formal methods and machine learning to build safe and trustworthy autonomous systems. The CAREER award is a five-year grant that will support Li’s research in this area. These robots could perform such tasks at local pharmacies or health centers, providing healthcare to a more diverse population and making it more accessible for those who might otherwise be unable to afford it. Yazicigil’s research on cyber-secure biological systems (CSBS), particularly the miniaturized ingestible bio-electronic capsule, is the first of its kind in an area of bioelectronics never seen before.
