We are proud to see bioMérieux's teams committed to our partner Fundación Sí. As part of the inauguration of their new site, the teams came together to create smart notebooks for the children’s project activities. The volunteers decorated, personalized and painted the books for each child. In total, they achieved an amazing goal of 100 books! 🎨 Since 2022, the bioMérieux Endowment Fund has supported Fundación Sí by developing and implementing the Si Pueden program. Si Pueden is an #inclusion program for young children that aims to establish itself in 43 community centers across 35 cities in #Argentina. Since its launch, nearly 1,750 children have benefited from this program, and 390 educators have been trained. A big thank you to all and Fundacion Si´s director, Manuel Lozano, for his inspiring presence and to our amazing Project Partner Claudia Andrea Maskin. 👏 #WeActForTheChildren

How adorable are these soon-to-be Book Babies Graduates? 😍 🐣 As part of its Book Babies program supported by the Endowment Fund, Book Harvest organized a fun graduation celebration for 33 children from County Durham who have graduated from pre-kindergarten and are ready to join school in August. Beginning when a #baby is born, Book Babies partners with parents and provides quarterly literacy coaching home visits, 100+ age-appropriate and language-appropriate books, and a host of additional supports through Pre-K and kindergarten enrollment. “It was awesome to see the happy faces filled with pride from the children and families to Book Harvest team members, caregivers, and volunteers.” Maya Balakrishnan PMP, bioMérieux Endowment Fund North America Coordinator. Well done to all those cute little graduates! ❤️ #WeActForTheChildren #BookBabies Debbie Rodgers Tabitha Blackwell

Did you know that our partner, Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, providing trauma-informed care, 24-hour respite, and crisis counselling? In doing so, the Nursery provides crucial support to families in crisis and tirelessly advocates for child safety and well-being in the region. In solidarity, bioMérieux teams in St. Louis came together at the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery to engage with children and give back through volunteering. Reflecting on the day, Project Partner Amy Mccourt said, “The volunteers spent the afternoon engaging with the wonderful children, spreading love and laughter through art play. Seeing the kids' creativity shine bright was truly inspiring, and we're grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in our community. Together, we can create a brighter future for every child.” Well done your commitment makes all the difference! ✨ Shannon Briner Christopher Hyde Peter Danza, CSQE Roxann Korte #WeActForTheChildren

During the bioMérieux Employee Engagement Team Seminar, the bioMérieux Endowment Fund for Education was honored to offer a solidarity Team Building event for 30 participants. The team enthusiastically and creatively crafted busy boards, sensory bottles and cookie bags to benefit autistic children, supported by our partner Association ATYS. ATYS aims to change the way society views autism by promoting the early inclusion of #autistic children in mainstream schools and society, and by supporting families to better live and thrive with an autistic spectrum disorder child. The participants were incredible and put a smile on the children's faces! 👏 ✨ Special thanks to all the participants, as well as to Tamela (Gilbert) Smith & Amanda Hyatt for the opportunity 📸 Thanks to Aurélie SOHIER for sharing the photos with the little ones. #WeActForTheChildren

bioMérieux's Salt Lake City Teams commit to equal opportunities! 👏 Last weekend, a dozen bioMérieux Salt Lake City team members volunteered at the annual World Refugee Day event hosted by the Utah Department of Workforce Services. Steve Lamb, PMP our dedicated Project Partner who led the day, shared “This was a great opportunity to celebrate refugee contributions and to seek to build empathy and promote understanding for their resilient plight to build a brighter future for themselves and their #children. The little ones took part in activities supported by bioMérieux team members that introduced them to other cultures and that celebrated them with dancing, water slides, soccer clinics with professional soccer players and so much more!” ✨ Many thanks to our amazing Salt Lake City colleagues who braved the extreme heat and made this incredible day possible! #WorldRefugeeDay #WithRefugees #WeActForTheChildren

A few weeks ago, bioMérieux teams at the La Balme site welcomed 40 children from Ma Chance Moi Aussi, in the presence of Valerie Leylde, Endowment Fund Administrator. 👩🔬 The children took part in workshops led by bioMérieux teams to introduce them to #science. They could imagine themselves as laboratory technicians and carry out experiments, learn more about #biodiversity, visit a production site, or model bacteria in clay! The children also had the opportunity to visit the La Balme caves, an actual underground landscape that tells the incredible story of erosion. ✨Many thanks to the teams at La Balme for an incredible day that will undoubtedly inspire new vocations! #WeActForTheChildren

🎤 Yesterday, Christine Hostache and Sophie ABLOTT were at the French Ministère de la Santé to attend the presentation of the study “inequalities from an early age: understanding and acting” conducted by Break Poverty Foundation with the support of the bioMérieux Endowment Fund and others grantmakers. In France, 1 in 5 children live below the poverty line, and inequalities arise from an early age. That is why we are proud to support this study, which presents concrete recommendations for public authorities and private grantmakers to prevent inequalities from the earliest age. Five key recommendations were presented by Christophe Sanchez, Innovation Director at Break Poverty : ✔ Reduce the financial constraints and deprivation of vulnerable households ✔ Improve access to formal childcare facilities ✔ Improve access to maternal and child protection services and adapt the support they provide ✔ Strengthen the capacity of nonprofits to support vulnerable groups in their parenting activities ✔ Make inequality in early childhood a public policy priority Congratulations Christophe Sanchez on this remarkable study, driven by the mission to break the circle of poverty.
