Youth Voices Matter!

Youth Voices Matter!

Dear #nextgeneration #agriculture #leaders,

Said and done – here comes NGIN Opportunity No 01! The first NGIN Opportunity ever, for you!

Youth voices matter!

At the highest levels in global policy there is a desire and - more than that – there is a NEED to hear from youth. And we want to help you maximize your impact on the global policy processes!

We invite you to participate in the #NGINag NextGen Advocacy Training, 2 workshops for “EFFECTIVE YOUTH VOICES” dedicated to all young people, ages of 15 and 29, from all parts of the world and all sectors – with a particular focus on food security.

The trainings will prep you for entering the @UN @FAO and Committee on Food Security world of advocacy! You will learn to be more successful advocates for yourselves and your organizations in the upcoming youth policy process at CFS and others.

Workshop 1 – UN System and why it matters // OPEN ACCESS – April 5th at 7:30 am EST/1:30 pm CET (90 minutes): The training focuses on the history and structure and operating environment of the United Nations, with a focus on the UN Committee on Food Security. At the conclusion of the training, you will have a better understanding of why the UN policy arena is important and how you can access and engage with the UN!

Please register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_JQKgvCoVTouSwEbqgCDN5A

Workshop 2 – Making Your Voice Heard - BY INVITATION ONLY // April 21st at 08:00 am EST/ 2pm CET (3 hours): Join a small group to deep dive in a 3-hour, hands-on session on raising your voice and messaging techniques for impact on policy recommendations on the future of youth in #foodsystems.  Expect to gain practical experience that can help you in meetings and UN negotiations.

For your invitation, please send your 2-sentence-application by email until March 25 to info@nginag.org. You will be notified at the beginning of April if you have been selected.

The workshops are implemented by @Emerging Ag and enabled by support of @Bayer.

Going forward, please ensure to sign up in the STAY TUNED section at www.nginag.org! And ask your peers to do the same.

More opportunities will follow!

Yours warmly,

Nele, Chair of the NGIN Board
