Are you waiting for the world to end?

I’m running into the same concept every day.

Every third client call will have some degree of this.

It’s the idea that other people are hitting pause across the boards.

It’s the idea that investors are not pursuing their real estate goals until rates come down or some massive market correction occurs.

If you’re one of them, how long have you been waiting for this?

I had one guy that I would call every 3 weeks to see if he resumed looking for his next multifamily purchase. This was from the Spring of 2020 until late 2022.

His answer was always “No.” I stopped checking.

He was sitting on seven figures.

I know another guy that was sitting on the same war chest but secured a portfolio of multifamily in the Midwest. He tuned out the headlines and saw the intrinsic value of real estate.

I think what I’m trying to say is, stop waiting for the world to end before you make your next move.

Get active and make something out of the skills, knowledge, and funds that you’re sitting on to grow your portfolio to weather any economic storm you might be worried about.

Play to your strengths and find a deal worth pulling the trigger on regardless of any market concern you may have.

If you think I’m wrong, tell me what I’m missing.

If you find this useful thinking in any way, let me know. Love all of your feedback and insight.

I’m on the same page with you, Ryan. It’s weird to me that RE investors operate so differently than folks who primarily invest stocks. 🤔
