The triple bottom line of print

The triple bottom line of print

We’ve all heard of the ‘triple bottom line’, or the ‘3Ps: Profit, People and Planet’ of business. Here how the right printing technologies can make a difference:

1.  Profit

IT downtime for maintenance and recurrent technology costs in the form of consumables can take precious working time away from employees and become a hidden financial cost. But inkjet as a printing technology can reduce maintenance and interventions by up to 98% compared to other technologies on the market [1]. Choosing inkjet could lead to a saving of about €50 million a year for businesses across Western Europe, so why not make the most of this opportunity?

2.  People

Whilst the choice of printer usually comes down to price and efficiency, the technology and the supplier you choose are equally as important. Epson technologies are produced wholly owned factories with high standards for working conditions and minimal environmental impact in our manufacturing processes. Not everyone can claim this.

3.  Planet

The right choice of printer can make a positive contribution in terms of reducing your environmental footprint. Because inkjet printing technology vs laser can reduce waste by up to 99% and reduce energy consumption by 96% [2], it is easy to see how this can quickly add up. Inkjet technology can enable greater efficiency through speed, cleaner processes, far less wastage and reduced power consumption. I can see only benefits.

These are the facts, and for this reason I think that inkjet has a real chance to become the new standard in office printing.

Our data shows the inexorable rise of inkjet and decline of laser. The question for laser is where will it stop?
