Taking Flight in Style: New Plane and Look for Malaysia Airlines

Malaysia Airlines is reinventing the passenger experience.

Malaysia Airlines, the national carrier of Malaysia known for its commitment to service and comfort, recently unveiled its new livery and interior design on its first Boeing 737-8.

Malaysia Airlines is looking to redefine passenger comfort while staying true to Malaysian hospitality and rich cultural heritage. From the moment passengers board, they are immersed in the nation's legacy including seat upholstery featuring a stitched songket motif. The motif reinforces the airline's commitment to proudly representing the nation and embodying its progressive spirit. Other updates emphasize Malaysia’s vibrant cultural heritage and Malaysian pride.

"We are thrilled to present our passengers with a truly immersive and memorable journey that showcases our national pride and commitment to delivering exceptional travel experiences," said Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business from Malaysia Aviation Group. "Whether passengers are settling into their seats or moving through the aircraft, they will be surrounded by an ambiance that exudes serenity, elegance, and a deep appreciation for Malaysia's cultural tapestry."

"Malaysia Airlines’ plan to modernize their fleet marks a significant milestone in their journey to embrace change and soar to new heights," said Erika Pearson, Boeing vice president, Commercial Sales and Marketing, Southeast Asia and Oceania. “We are proud to have Boeing airplanes represent the nation and enable passengers to enjoy exceptional travel experiences."

Malaysia Airlines will gradually grow its 737-8 fleet to include 25 Boeing airplanes.

737 being a narrow body aircraft with its 3X3 seat arrangements torture tall passengers. The A320s seem to have wider seats. The A320s cabin is 7 inches wider than the B737's. The extra 1 1/4 inches per seat makes a big difference for big people https://simpleflying.com/boeing-737-vs-airbus-a320/
