In June, we also organized a refreshing Yoga session for our employees. This session aimed to promote mental and physical well-being, providing a peaceful break from the daily routine. It was a great success and left everyone feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

A Note from Our Solutions Architect

Professional painters historically wore white uniforms to make spills easier to detect, a deliberate choice that improved overall quality. This principle applies to our work: conscious choices can lead to better outcomes.

We make around 35,000 choices daily, many unconsciously. While this prevents cognitive overload, it also allows bad habits to persist, impacting our projects.

To improve, we should make deliberate changes in our practices:

  • Treat warnings as errors to reduce code issues.

  • Ban certain APIs/types in specific projects to improve maintainability.

  • Set visibility defaults to private to prevent unintended use of code.

  • Use complexity analyzers to ensure maintainable code.

  • Avoid writing non-domain methods/types to save time and money.

  • Seal types to encourage better programming practices.

By making deliberate choices, we can enhance our work quality and efficiency.
