Stateside Associates Promotes James "Jake" Bookwalter to Senior Vice President; Makes other Promotion Announcements

Stateside Associates , the largest state and local government affairs firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of James "Jake" Bookwalter to Senior Vice President.

Bookwalter currently serves as a Vice President leading Stateside's Legislative Information Services division. His deep-rooted knowledge of state policy has supported Stateside's growing portfolio of services, including helping to spearhead the firm's infrastructure funding advisory services, which offers reporting and consulting assistance to track funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and working with several technology clients to create an international policy service offering.

Joining Stateside in 2011, Bookwalter's work has helped shape the firm's State Legislative Monitoring services by modernizing operations and processes and has assisted clients in managing and forecasting policy issues and trends in all 50 states and U.S. territories - all vital to the firm's success.

"Jake has been a pillar in shaping Stateside's legislative practice and is a de facto leader with his unrivaled understanding of legislative processes and policies," said Mark Anderson , Stateside's Co-Chief Executive Officer. "Jake's ability to strategize the implications of political changes in the states has helped us build many great client relationships." 

Bookwalter also liaises with clients and lectures about state issues, cultivating relationships and sharing those skills and assets as a leader.

"Jake has been a critical part of our team for the last 11 years, and we are excited to promote him to this role," said Michael Behm , Stateside's Co-Chief Executive Officer. "We simply wouldn't be where we are today without Jake's contributions. I know he will continue to bring focused leadership in his new role in the years ahead."

In addition, Stateside is excited to announce the following staff promotions as the firm strengthens its expertise to better support clients. 

Zachary Cook , Esq. has been elevated to Senior Director and Counsel, Health Care Policy. Erin Seu, Esq. has been promoted to Health Care Policy Counsel. Shaili Banerjee has been promoted to Health Care Policy Manager. Amy M. Cole has been promoted to Senior Regulatory Counsel. Mark Salters has been promoted to Senior Legislative Issue Manager, Financial Services. Robert Korn has been promoted to Senior Legislative Issue Manager, Telecommunications. Max Karlin has been promoted to Senior Legislative Issue Manager, Pharmaceuticals. John Foulkes has been promoted to Legislative Issue Manager. Erin Bailey has been promoted to Legislative Issue Manager. Emma Rose Lowder has been promoted to Legislative Issue Manager.
