Empowering women to enter the sanitation industry

Around the world, we are working with our partners to upskill women keen to pursue a career in the sector. In Madagascar, we have been training new toilet sales agents with our partner Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) to drive local demand on the island. Meanwhile, with UNICEF and Water.org, more than 70 female masons have been trained in Odisha, India, to facilitate installations and aftercare services. Together, these initiatives enable women to unlock meaningful employment opportunities and better lives, every day.

Reaching 95 villages in India with the SATO tour

We are always looking for creative ways to reach customers and build demand for high-quality sanitation. In India, we recently took the SATO truck, a mobile sanitation station equipped with demo products and LCD screens, on a journey across India. At each stop, the team engaged consumers through sanitation quizzes, talks and product explanations, and in total reached more than 13,000 consumers across 95 villages, bazaars, and schools.
